    Replacement for Baillie Nicol Jarvie

Has anyone yet tasted Cameron Brig? Please tell me if this is a suitable replacement for BNJ. | have spent almost 9 months of my life searching for BNJ and haven't got many more years left. A suitable replacement would, I am sure, extend them.

particularly basic in a humble way

I couldn't discern that many flavours from this whisky, it's the simplest whisky I've ever tried. If I did find any tones such as honey or apple they were very faint and taste only appeared with water, faint apple. A good whisky but not to my liking.

Definitely worth trying and getting your friends to try

Cameron Brig's Single Grain has been a delight. With its own sweet flavors, one can understand the value of single grains in their own right, not to mention what they can then contribute to blends. Lets not forget that without blends, no distillery would survive long enough to keep the "single malt" industry alive, so let's give them the credit they deserve.

    Don't go against the "grain"

Super everyday dram, lovely sweet honey notes with a touch of spice. I'd always been dismissive of grain whisky but after reading the reviews I thought it must be worth a try. At this price point it certainly is a great everyday whisky in my humble opinion and I certainly won't be do dismissive of the grain in future.
