Country Irish Whiskey
Distillery/Brand Bushmills

Bushmills Red Bush

Bushmills Red Bush is the first release from the Irish distillery in almost five years! The blend is made up of triple distilled single malt and Irish grain whiskey, and is then matured in first fill bourbon casks, imparting all the buttery vanilla cask influence.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose A floral bouquet with lovely biscuity malt and apple crumble alongside lots of cinnamon and vanilla custard, with a touch of honeydew melon fruitiness.

Palate Butterscotch, nutmeg and vanilla, with hot buttered toast and a good helping of floral honey, and earthy oak makes an appearance.

Finish A short and dry finish, full of tannic spicy oak.

Reviews for Bushmills Red Bush
Great taste for the price
Entry level but has a great simple taste. Vanilla, currents, nutmeg and butterscotch. Simple but great for staring into whiskey

Great casual whiskey for this price point
decent flavour, fruity, not super complicated but the best I have found under £30. A great whiskey to have for guests or a casual sipping whiskey.
its obviously no spot or red breast but again, for this price its great.

Not worth your time.
Not much to talk about, they are obviously going for a bourbon taste but its really not a good one, I personally would avoid, if its bourbon your after just buy an actual bourbon.

Enjoyable but not exciting
Got this as a present and took quite a while to really appreciate this one. It's only since starting to get into bourbon that I've come to notice and appreciate the smooth buttery notes within this whisky.

Not sure I'd rush to buy another bottle right away but wouldn't certainly buy another at some point.
