Bushmill's original whisky is a smooth, easy-drinking whiskey that has been produced in Ireland for centuries.
Bushmills Original is made up of grain whiskey matured for five years before blending with malt whiskeys. Bushmill's Irish whiskey is triple distilled and very supple.
Bushmills Original is a consistent, great value-for-money, triple-distilled blend made with a core of flavoursome malt and grain whiskies
Aromatic, sweet Riesling-like quality to this. Also cut herbs and blossom.
Fruity, aromatic palate. Salty butter, all kinds of blossom, sweet vanilla cream and citrus.
A malty finish with cardamom and ginger on the tail.

For such a cheap, entry-level whisky, the nose on this is fantastic. Gets a bit of a bad rap next to Jameson but I'd choose this in a heartbeat. How have they got shortbread into the nose?? Love it
I love the way it goes down, so smooth and easy to drink. i love the taste not to bitter not sharp. I can easily polish a bottle off in an evening.
This is a really special Whiskey. Okay, it's an entry-level blend and will never be up there with the big-boys; it can be a bit 'petroly', especially if enjoyed too quickly. But overall, I love Bushmills, the original somehow captures the quintessential Bushmills taste and is a great companion for any night, at home or in the pub. I have enjoyed this all around the world.
This stuff is charming; relaxed, fruity, a bit woody yet controlled, substantial and refined...No complaints from me really..."the little whiskey that could", well, well.
I'm not satisfied with the smell. A bit of "fuel" or something that spoils it and makes it not worhty as sipping alone. Maybe this is to be expected from an entry level whiskey. I will definitely try their 10y singelmalt. /N
