Octomore 17.3 5 Year Old 70cl Whisky

Balancing muscular peat with elegance and nuance, this is Edition 17.3 in Bruichladdich's super heavily peated Octomore series. Distilled from 100% Islay Concerto barley grown in Irene's Field on Octomore Farm, malted to 132.1PPM, this single malt was then aged in a medley of first-fill bourbon barrels and second-fill Ribera del Duero, Suertanes, eiswein, and syrah wine casks. It's a powerful yet composed dram, packed with rugged coastal salinity, sweet barley, and smoked malt.
