This is the latest release from Bruichladdich. An un-peated sixteen year old bottling from an American Oak cask.
Sweet and waxy with firm notes of vanilla and a biscuity quality on the palate that leads to a distinct nuttiness.

Somehow these only now popped up on the Asian market. I am so happy to get some, and it is again one of Bruichladdich's finest. So good, I cannot decide between the 16 or 22, which is the best. The 22 is straight bourbon aged and sublime. The 16 is more complex and I guess bourbon and red wine casks, with loads of wonderful spice. Really addictive stuff.

Been looking for this whisky for SOME time. Finally got hold of two bottles, and wow! Great wood, subtle but exerted. Wonderful spice on the palate and the finish. I cannot recommend this enough.

You have discontinued selling the only two scotch's from bruichladdich that I drink. Laddie 16 and Burbon cask. I hope that you will get some more in stock.

This like all Bruichs is an endangered species. Unpeated, with notes of honey and matured bourbon cask. One of the best I've had. If you can find this, buy it.

This is true, I went to a bruichladdich tasting evening and bought this issue up with their brand ambassador. This Whisky inside is indeed much older.

according to the history of this distillery there should not be a 16 yr old at this time

By far the best of the new age statements by the Laddie team. And a steal here. You pay nearer £60 in most places including at the distillery! A very welcome addition to the whisky shelves.
