Bruichladdich Organic 1l Bottling Note

A travel retail release of Bruichladdich organic single malt Scotch whisky, made with barley sourced from Mid Coul Farm, Mains of Tullibardine Farm and Coulmore farm. It's an unpeted expression, light and sweet with toffee, citrus, almond and subtle touches of exotic fruit.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Honey'd barley with melon, lemon peel and toffee sponge cake.

Palate: Sugared almond, stewed pears, golden syrup and a core of golden barley.

Finish: Lasting sweetness of citrus and boiled sweeties.

Young upstart

I go along with most of what’s been said already. Delightful on the nose. Quite young to taste, clean, alchohol, sweet, barley sugar, pears, pineapple. Interesting but I’m looking forward to trying a more mature Bruichladdich. A very different Islay style. Great stuff.

Not what i expected

Strong & young, not for everyone. At 50% abv you nose is pure alcohol but it opens up with some water. I won't buy anything else that doesn't have an age statement.

this is a malt for all those people who like a good touch of sweetness in a whisky. The barley taste is creamy with
indeed a good touch of sweet nuts. The colour is realy pale, thank god no colour added, and of course is is the
standard of Bruichladdich un chill filtered as it should be but very often is not in other malts. The amount of alcohol (50%) gives back a lot of taste of fruits like melon and citrus. No age statement but never the less a very tastefull malt whisky.

A bottle was bought for me as a present. Not like anything else I've had from Islay. Apart from the alcohol strength it's much more subtle than it's neighbours - but in a good way.

Very different

Forgot to rate it. 87/100

Very different

Nose is very gentle: caramel, pear. Some burn alcohol (50%), but green apples, pear, pineapple. Vanilla in aftertaste. Young, but very interesting ...

Elegance Elegance Elegance

I am a very novice Whisky person - but should tell in the 20 odd whiskys I have tried in the last 6years.
