A special release from Bruichladdich for the 2010 Islay Festival, this was distilled in 2004 and aged in a fresh sherry butt (cask number 1,667) yielding an outturn of 1,060 bottles. This bottle is an homage to Richard Macaire, the laird of Foreland and Kentraw who passed away in 2010.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Nutty with notes of burnt sugar and digestive biscuits. Butterscotch, then custard, mixed nuts and plenty of spice.
Bit tiramisu notes, and plenty of sherry, spices and good fruit. Maybe a touch of Brandy de Jerez.
Very spicy, good length and hints of smoke.
