Bruichladdich 22 Year Old 1984 - Redder Still
This single malt from Bruichladdich has been so-named 'Redder Still' for its rich scarlet hue. A limited release of just 4,080 bottles, distilled in 1984, the whisky attained its colour from the Chateau Lafleur Pomerol wine cask it was finished in.
This bottle was part of a private collection and will show signs of wear if of a certain vintage - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Full, cooked fruit, stem ginger, fruit. Milky coffee. Esters, jam on buttered toast.
Palate
Full, thick mouthfeel, sweetness, spicy oak. Tart berries, spices, becomes something quite hot. Juicy.
Finish
Warm, supple, dry nuttiness, walnut, chestnut and mochaccino.
