Single Malt
Scotland
An 18 year old Bruichladdich single malt, distilled in 1989 and matured in a combination of bourbon and Madeira casks! This was bottled by Murray McDavid, who you may know bought the distillery in 2000 (it has since been bought by Rémy Cointreau). 112 bottles were produced.
Slightly herbal at first, though soon followed by toffee apple and honey. A touch of fig and sultana, too.
Red berries, pineapple, melon and vanilla. A touch of Cognac and salted butter.
Lightly spiced oak, honey and white pepper.

I had a 3cl sample as a part of a tasting gift set. This dram was unbelievable and I am so sad I finished it.
