That Boutique-y Whisky Company
Scotland
Single Malt
Continuing on the cat-inspired theme present in the Boutique-y Whisky Company's Clynelish (a distillery which neighbours Brora), here we see a far more terrifying-looking label with a truly ferocious wild cat. This is a reference to Brora's nature - it's hugely smoky, sooty, muscular and intense...
This is a release of only 24 bottles - all extremely rare!
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, bourbons, blended malts and blends from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic-novel-style labels.
Smouldering, intensely oaky nose with hints of lemon, cracked black pepper and pine cones. Massive wood smoke and coal soot.
Maritime, oily palate entry with furniture polish, beeswax, hints of sticking plaster and anise, and a rich core of brooding peat. Very peppery and intense. A hint of Mezcal appears.
Long, slightly rubbery finish. Ginger, apple peel and smoke, hints of pine needle and baking spice.
An intense whisky - not for the faint of heart.

I have collected every bottle from the boutiquey whisky company range and am massively disappointed that I didn't get an email /notification /update or anything else to say that this and the new Port Ellen batch 2 were being released. The only reason I know now is after scrolling through two pages of boutiquey bottles to find it sold out on the bottom of the 2nd. A heads up would have been nice. I look forward to the 2nd batch which will probably be twice the price and sold out before its been bottled.
