Description

A properly mature Royal Brackla, aged for 25 years in American oak before a finish in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The famously sweet sherry style brings an extra layer of dried fruit and richness to the Highland distillery's elegant, fruit-forward spirit. It was bottled at 46% ABV, at natural colour and without chill filtration.

Nose

Rich caramel and candied orange peel, with raisins, dates and marzipan. Honeyed malt and polished oak sit underneath, joined by a little ginger and dark chocolate.

Palate

Gingerbread, toffee and dried fruit leading into roasted almonds and orange oil. White pepper provides some lift, while green mango brings a fresher, slightly tropical edge.

Finish

Dried fruit, ginger spice, almond, dark chocolate and lingering orange.
