Description

A brill bourbon from Bowsaw! This expression brings together three types of grains - 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley. The result is an excellently creamy whiskey packed full of vanilla and honey notes. Plus, handsome bottle on this one too. Always a treat.

Nose

Toasted oak stave, fresh vanilla and a hint of toffee.

Palate

Crumbly fudge, black pepper, liquorice and lemon.

Finish

Biscuity, with caramel and more vanilla.

It's NOT a Bourbon

In America it's sold as WHISKEY but for export they replace the neck label so show it as Bourbon - but it's not. They can get away with calling it Bourbon outside the USA because there's no legal definition for Bourbon outside the USA. Check the Bowsaw website. Still a half decent Whiskey though.

Keep it coming.

Second time round now and still no improvement. It’s still as good as the first. Good quality bourbon for the price and it’s from Kentucky!
