Description

This 20-year-old Bowmore was created as part of the distillery’s Captivo Collection in collaboration with design studio Snarkitecture. The Islay single malt spent two decades maturing in American oak bourbon casks before a finish in American oak oloroso sherry butts, bringing a classic Bowmore combo of rich and fruity sweetness and gentle, coastal, smoky character. It was bottled at 50.8% ABV.

Nose

Salted toffee, dried apricot, orange peel, and dark cherry, with honeyed oak and a gentle waft of coastal smoke.

Palate

Dark cherry and candied orange lead into manuka honey, vanilla, and toasted oak. Eucalyptus brings a cooling herbal lift, while dried fruit, caramel, and soft peat smoke build underneath.

Finish

Vanilla sweetness, orange oil, dark fruit, polished oak, and a lingering curl of campfire smoke.
