Bowmore 18 Year Old Sherry Oak
Bowmore 18 Year Old single malt bottled as part of the Sherry Oak series, this Scotch whisky was fittingly aged in hand-selected bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, with a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask finish. The recommended pairing is with red deer, heritage beetroots, and first of the seasons girolles. Fancy.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Rich dark chocolate, freshly ground cocoa beans, treacle toffee, date oil, orange zest, and fresh pineapple chunks underpinned by a rich peatiness.
Palate
Bittersweet orange peel, moist sultanas, aniseed spice, cocoa beans.
Finish
Wonderfully fruity with incredible depth and complexity.
