Bowmore 15 Year Old Sherry Oak
Bowmore 15 Year Old Sherry Oak was matured in oloroso sherry and bourbon casks, with an oloroso sherry-seasoned cask finish, much like its 12-year-old sibling bottling from the same range. But the extra years of ageing add richer, darker, sweeter elements. The Islay distillery says to pair with smoked butter-poached lobster, summer vegetables, and roast shell sauce.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Moist Corinth raisins and sweet dates. Sweet spices, cinnamon, cocoa beans, a hint of dark chocolate and subtle smoke.
Palate
Cedarwood, treacle toffee, boiled sweet confectionery, clove spice and liquorice root.
Finish
Curiously rich and wooded leading to contented sweet spice.
