A brilliant batch of straight rye whiskey from Boondocks, created by former Woodford Reserve master distiller Dave Scheurich. A top find for fans of Kentucky rye, and bottled up at 50% ABV, it'll shine in a Manhattan.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Runny caramel, toasted vanilla, a touch of vegetal oak, and a smidge of menthol.
Palate
Bold oak char, creamy butterscotch, and fruit muffins lead to more savoury, grainy spice.
Finish
Peppery spice lingers, joined by burnt toffee and toasted oak.
