Rum Finish
Set sail to the Caribbean via Scotland with Black Bottle Captain's Cask. Part of the Alchemy Series, for this one master Blender Julieann Fernandez paired smooth older malts with intense, explosive ones, along with aged grain and peated malts that had been finished in rum casks. It was bottled at 46.3% ABV without chill filtration or additional colouring.
Tropical fruits (passionfruit and papaya), desiccated coconut, vanilla, roasted malt, and a touch of bonfire smoke.
Caramelised pineapple, salted caramel, creamy hazelnut, milky coffee, and charred oak.
Peppery spice and roasted tropical fruit.

Just tasted this for the first time, and the Black Bottle brand strikes again. Remarkably complex for a blended whisky, raisin-ey pops to mind!
