Ooh, Benromach 10 year old bottled at a significantly higher strength - 100° Proof (more commonly known as 57% ABV these days). Intense and flavourful, with a good whack of smoke and Sherried malt at its core, this ought to be an excellent choice for winter evenings.
Dark chocolate with vanilla cream at its core. Dates, banana and peat smoke creeping in.
A rather big palate with dark fruits and smoky embers. Oak-y hints on the mid-palate give it yet more character
Smoke persists on the long finish.

A very nice everyday whisky not very complex
Can't say anything negative about this one
A nice dram but at 57% I felt the flavours were overwhelmed until a drop of water was added which opened them out nicely. Didn't pick up much of a peak smoke but very pleasant nevertheless.
It got everything I wish for in a whisky, very impressive. A lot of whisky for the money.
is from heaven, I never try it before, but it is not the last time. best regards Peter
