Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Waves of lemon zest and buttery pastry are joined by soft oak and vanilla, while peanut brittle and nutty malt develop beneath.

Palate Juicy barley and honeyed prunes lead to layers of toasted marzipan, roasted walnuts, and hazelnuts.

Finish Citrus blossom, honey, crushed almonds, and vanilla.

Not what I was expecting.
The tasting notes above don’t mention one of the main flavours of this whisky - peat smoke. There is sweetness too and it’s a pleasant dram but I definitely expecting the peat. I suggest MoM add it to the tasting notes.

An interesting find
I have a great friend who appreciates whisky. We sampled this product yesterday and were intrigued by the way it developed once in the mouth - a long multi-faceted lingering with interesting flavours making themselves apparent. We enjoyed the experience, and I would certainly purchase again once the present bottle indicates that a replacement is necessary.
