Benrinnes 10 Year Old 2011 (cask 15278) - Provenance (Douglas Laing)
A splendid single malt from Benrinnes, distilled in May 2011 and matured in a single refill butt. After ten years, the cask was opened up by independent bottler Douglas Laing in September 2021, releasing a total of 857 bottles for its Provenance collection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Seeded brown bread and baked apple cake, light wafts of floral blossom, and freshly toasted oak.
Palate
Spiced biscuits with warming ginger and cinnamon, rich roasted malt with nutty depth and sweet citrus zest.
Finish
Oaken vanilla, stewed raisins, and more floral orange with creamy caramel and a touch of pepper on the finish.
