Benrinnes 10 Year Old 2007 (cask 12021) - Provenance (Douglas Laing)
A Douglas Laing Provenance bottling of 10 year old single malt from the Benrinnes distillery in the Speyside region. This was distilled in March 2007 and allowed to mature in a refill hogshead for over a decade, until August 2017. A release of just 354 bottles. The fish on the label is particularly pleasing. It looks excited to be a fish.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Buttery malt, with hints of milk chocolate and fresh blueberries.
Palate
Cinnamon and rye, with a little brown sugar for balance. Chewy hints of orange develop later on.
Finish
Continues cinnamon spiciness, followed by a sweet touch of mince pie filling right at the end.
