Reviews for Benriach Heart of Speyside
Too much bourbon influence for me.
Too much bourbon influence and not a lot else. I don’t like bourbon so I gave up on this after a couple of attempts. The honey and oak flavours were just too sickly. A friend of mine thought it was delicious which is why I have given it three stars and him the bottle.

Classic Speyside
Benriach is a new brand to me, I’m so pleased to have discovered it. Classic Speyside, smooth, sweet and fruity. I also bought “The Twelve” and was similarly pleased. Will be reordering

Fresh and tantalising
For an entry level whisky, satisfyingly balance palate.

my first Benriach product.
So this was my first touch to this dis. Heart of Speyside is simple and sweet entrylevel whiskey. It's not the best whiskey I have drank, but not the worst either. I would like to compare this to Glenfiddich 12yr old. It's smoother, but also lacks more taste and aroma. I'm not a professional with whiskeys, so this is a review by a newbie.

Strange
The nose is somehow very strange to me. Fresh, true, but no sense of true fineness that e.g. Aberlour (my favorite of Speyside's) has. But I guess not a bad choice for this price class if you like plain & simple Scotch.
