Benchmark Bourbon Bottling Note

Benchmark by name, benchmark by nature. This really is one for the more well Bourbon producers to beat, and despite its status as an outsider, really warrants some attention - especially if cocktails are on the menu.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Aromatic and quite sweet. Soft toasty spices, salted caramel and vanilla pod earthiness.

Palate: A creamy spirit carrying custard, toffee apple and biscuity notes.

Finish: Cinnamon, chocolate digestives and tangerine.

Best buy!
Bought the first time because it was cheap. Fell in love with it. Love the smoothness and taste of it. It is now my go to whiskey. Drink it neat or on the rocks you can't go wrong.

Best value entry level bourbon !
One of the best value you can get out of a bourbon. The palates not quite up to wt101 or ew bib, but for its price, benchmark 8 is just wonderful if you like fruit vanilla and caramel nose and taste.

Smooth, hint of spice, no acetone aftertaste, really good on an ice ball.
My favorite "cheap" bourbon. $10 a 750ml bottle in Ohio. Yeah, I like Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, Jefferson Reserve, and a whole bunch of other bourbons/whiskeys, but my go to is Benchmark 8.
