Ben Nevis 22yo TBWC Bottling Note

Another batch of Ben Nevis brilliance, independently bottled up by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! This one enjoyed a 22 year stay in a single cask before being bottled, and the label depicts a view from the top of Ben Nevis mountain, looking down on the Ben Nevis distillery. There's also a hiker holding a bottle of this very whisky in his hand, and you can just about see him again on the label of that little bottle. If you could zoom in more, we suppose he'd be there again, and again, tinier and tinier in infinitely smaller pictures of himself. It's called the Droste effect, in case you ever wondered.

Batch 7 is a release of 399 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Ripe red apple, custard and butterscotch are followed by rich cocoa, fresh black cherries, and honey on toast.

Palate: Cracked black peppercorn spice flickers through a rich, thick malt core, as well as zesty orange peel, tinned apricot, and a little toffee.

Finish: Smooth vanilla, some ripe white peach notes, and a wave of honey.

Overall: A superb example of what Ben Nevis can do.
