A very rare edition of Balvenie Founders Reserve. Packaged in a Cognac style bottle. The more recent edition of this has already become discontinued, this was even before that, that's how rare this is.

I recently opened this- having long looked at it and this is by far the best dram I have ever had. Have just bought another to look forward to another day!
As a doctor he was given a lot of whisky but rarely drinks so I got to open this beautiful whisky with him at Christmas. The smell is one of the finest things I've ever experienced, exactly as per the tasting notes: like warm old leather. The first taste is very subtle, arrives fast and leaves as quick but then the aftertaste lingers just on the tongue almost unexpectedly. Thanks Dad, what a dram to share
Very very nice, wish I knew how much it was worth before I undid it though
