As a doctor he was given a lot of whisky but rarely drinks so I got to open this beautiful whisky with him at Christmas. The smell is one of the finest things I've ever experienced, exactly as per the tasting notes: like warm old leather. The first taste is very subtle, arrives fast and leaves as quick but then the aftertaste lingers just on the tongue almost unexpectedly. Thanks Dad, what a dram to share
