Balmenach 7 Year 2010 - Cask Collection (A.D. Rattray)
This is an indie bottling of single malt from the Balmenach distillery, aged for 7 years - from March 2010 to October 2017. It was initially aged in a bourbon hogshead before being transferred over to an Oloroso hogshead for a finishing period. A.D. Rattray bottled it for their Cask Collection with an outturn of 291 bottles. You don't often see much Balmenach single malt, as a lot of their spirit ends up in blends.

Nose
Cinnamon, mint and a touch of melted butter.
Palate
Greengages, plum and roasted cacao.
Finish
Enjoyably sweet with raspberry and vanilla ice cream.
