Aultmore 28 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
It's the 13th bottling of Aultmore from That Boutique-y Whisky Company! You might think that 13 is an unlucky number, but it seems like no bad luck has befallen this bottling, as it's an excellent 28 year old single malt from Aultmore, and it still features a shark scrapping with a dinosaur on the label.
Batch 13 is a release of 718 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Orange liqueur, dried fruits and American blueberry pancakes. Underneath there’s soft hints of new leather and lacquered oak, with slowly building cinnamon and nutmeg heat.
Palate
Slightly chocolatey at first, with plenty of Christmas spice and full-bodied dark fruits. Creamy toffee, exotic fruit and a little sandalwood and red grape add depth.
Finish
Bittersweet and wonderfully long.
