Distilled on 8th December 1997 at Speyside-based Auchroisk distillery, this whisky was allowed to mature for 20 years in a refill hogshead before being bottled at a hearty 52.3% ABV by Claxton's for their Single Cask series. Only 324 bottles were released.
Apple turnovers and cantaloupe along with the inside of a flower shop. Bitter chocolate, floral honey and a touch of aromatic herbs.
Black tea with blackberry jam tarts, vanilla-rich oak, dark chocolate and root ginger spice note.
Wine gums, marzipan, dark chocolate, marmalade and a pinch of tobacco.
