Auchroisk 20 Year Old 1997 (cask 1843-16381) - Claxton's
20 year old Auchroisk, independently bottled by Claxton's. This one was distilled in December and allowed to mature in a single refill hogshead, before being bottled at cask strength. A release of 324 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Oily malt and resinous cedar, joined by sweeter notes of fresh strawberry and mango.
Palate
Peppery at first, but sponge cake sweetness brings balance to the heat. A savoury touch of dried basil sticks around.
Finish
Rich in honey and citrus.
