I cannot understand what people complain about this Whisky. It tast great and you don't come in difficulties next morning (in case you had one or two more).
Tough to beat for the price $45. Easy drinking, smooth dark fruit notes. A little thin, but worth the price. Bought a second bottle recently. If the price stays stable or goes on offer, I'll pick up another.
The colour will throw you off to start -but let’s be open minded. And then there is the taste. A bit of a mutt; sherry, almost rum like? Not great if you enjoy lowlands or scotch in general.
Sadly these 2 bottles were not for me - but one for husband and one for son - Father's Day gifts! However, as it's one of their (many) favourite whiskies, I know they will both enjoy this Auchentoshan Triple Wood. Maybe they'll let me taste it!
Amazing! Fabulous! Wish I had found it years ago! Well done ?
