Arran Bodega Sherry Cask Bottling Note
A well-sherried Arran single malt? Oh yes! This particular expression has been dubbed The Bodega, and after it was distilled at Lochranza the whisky has been matured for seven years in first-fill sherry hogsheads. It's presented in a rather elegant and handsome bottle. Lots of dried fruit and chocolate over here.

Arran Bodega Sherry Cask Reviews
Delicious, sweet but not challenging
Fantastically clean, and tasty. The sherry is the showman but the wood isn’t completely lost. I usually look for fried fruit tastes, depth and spotted dick or bread pudding richness that a sherry cask often brings. This is clearly lovingly crafted, but if you’re looking for any complexity I think there is better bang for buck elsewhere. The price tag is a tad steep considering that but still an effortlessly easy tipple, sweetness will stop you before anything else.

Just great sherried whisky
A great arran at a decent price , many no age statement whiskies are a disgrace to the scotch whisky industry but this is good stuff , very sherried and at very high strength and unchillfiltered it's a shining star in the nas world , a must buy!

I've said it all ladies and lassies
In my younger daze....that being my 30s to 50s....I was in the wine buying game - having graduated from Adelaide's then Regency College - a sort of branch of the then Roseworthy College for budding winemakers. It's now run by the University of Adelaide. I've tasted everything from Wendouree Clare Valley "Pressings" to numerous vintages of Grange Hermitage and the best Fortified wines of Seppelts and, well, every maker around South Australia. A clued in teacher I had back then exhorted me to "go EAST young man" to the Hunter Valley. I've heard every descriptor under the sun guiding new and experienced tasters alike towards what OTHERS say is "the Best" or near enough. All I can say is that I LIKE the Arran "The Bodega" Sherry Cask Natural Cask Strength A LOT. You?? The only way you'll KNOW is to taste it. If YOU like it? Then BUY MORE and support these craftspeople. By God, they're a canny lot and give Gr-r-rrreat value for money. Oh aye, they DO....value for money?? 5 stars...och...aye!

Lush
Looks, smells and tastes as rich as the Aberlour A'bunadh it is replacing at £30ish less. And its Scottish owned, not French.

Fabulous sherry
Beautiful sherry young, even if it’s not 10 year old who cares, it’s delicious.

Nothing...
Based on the tasting notes I was looking forward to trying this but unfortunately the sample was a major disappointment.
Nose... Initially a very brief but extremely nicely flavoured slight sherry, Christmas cake note but immediately followed by overwhelming smell of pure alcohol or vodka.
Palete - Very similar - something was completely masking any flavour
Maybe a bad sample? There was very little complexity or flavour to this one at all.
