Following on from the previous limited edition 18 year old, Arran 18 year old has now become part of the core range! It's bottled without chill-filtration or artificial colouring.
This bottle was part of a private collection and may show signs of wear if of a certain vintage - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Sweet orchard fruits with syrup and toasted oak. Vanilla and light cinnamon spice.
Sweetness dances on the tongue with chocolate, ginger, caramelised brown sugar and vanilla. Water uncovers floral notes and aromatic orange fondant creams.
Long, lingering and luxurious. The classic Arran citrus and orchard fruits mingle with milk brioche and dark chocolate. A memorable depth of character, Arran is fully mature at 18 years old.

“I absolutely loved the first 18 yo form Arran, which solely sherry aged. Was a little concerned this new bourbon/sherry combination aged 18 will not stack up. But I was wrong. This is a truly great whisky and fortunately a permanent member of the core Arran line up. I love just about all Arran's whiskies, and this 18 makes a great big brother to the family. Perfect ginger and vanilla integration carried on a coco citrys cloud. Sheer heaven.”

as i carry on my whisky jurney this is one to remember
I love Arran, but this one is my favourite, I cannot wait to get another bottle
Nose: Creamy fresh oak, layered not cut fresh. There is a medinical taint, pleasant, that draws me back to my childhood, but like Nod, its hidden from me Palate: Generous mouth feel. There is a pine gentle medinical mouthfeel...and better it is for it. This is lovely. After: Cola bottles. Remember them. I'm in that space now and loving it. This is beautiful. More wood spice to underpin it.
I love the harmonious relationship between sweet and spice on a back ground of balanced cereal notes.
Bought a bottle of this 2 years ago whilst on Arran and opened the other day. Slightly disappointed considering the good reviews. The Arran 14 is one of my favourites and I think better and considerably cheaper. Perhaps it will grow on me as did the Arran Bothy QC.
