A treat from the Keeble Cask Company, this 14-year-old single malt from Ardmore joins the independent Fragrant Drops collection. Distilled in 2009, the whisky was treated to a two-year finish in a single dark rum barrel before bottling in 2023. A release of 201 bottles.
Burnt sugar, charred herbs, sweet, biscuity malt and trickles of runny toffee, with zesty peels joining in time.
Juicy notes of grilled tropical fruits, roasted nuts, and treacle toffee are followed by savoury, drying wood smoke.
Caraway, ginger biscuits, and bold, vegetal peat smoke.
