Sailmaker is a blend of six whiskies from Highland, Lowland, and Speyside Distilleries, fully matured in first-fill oloroso sherry casks selected by Ardgowan master whisky maker Max McFarlane. It's proved extremely popular, taking home a master medal at the 2023 Scotch Whisky Masters, a gold medal at the Scottish Whisky Awards 2022, a gold medal at the World Whisky Awards 2022, and a silver medal from the IWSC 2023.
Peppery, with an intriguing balance of dried spices, stone fruits, fresh nectarines, chocolate truffles, and Seville orange marmalade.
Relaxes slowly to reveal long-lasting butterscotch, marzipan, mangoes, and a hint of vanilla essence.
