Nose: Great depth. initially quite spicy with raw cane sugar, pineapple and beeswax. Then into fudge too, some floral notes... Wow, this is something else.
Palate: Ah, here's the peat, sooty but not overpowering up front before fruit comes back in with honeydew melon as well as a little kiwi and even redcurrant. Spicy Tunnock's Caramel Wafers.
Finish: Treacle sponge with lingering creamy Ardbeg peat. Both fairly light and totally decadent at the same time.
Overall: Sensational whisky, clearly well-matured. We wants it, we needs it...
