Aberlour 2009 (bottled 2019) - White Oak Cask Maturation

Aberlour's White Oak series continues with the 2009 vintage expression! It was left to age in American white oak Bourbon casks from 2009 to 2019, and was then bottled at 40% ABV. A lot of you will be very familiar with Aberlour's heavily-sherried style of whisky, so here's a tasty opportunity to check out a different style of Aberlour.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Toasted teacakes with butter, red apples, resinous oak and rye bread spiciness.

    Palate

Melon and honey arrive first, before a kick of caraway and black pepper. Still enjoyably woody and a touch earthy.

    Finish

Floral barley and fresh stone fruit. Peppery once again.
