Annandale Man O’Sword Vintage 2015 – Oloroso Sherry Butt (cask 755)
A peated Man O'Sword single malt from Annandale, distilled in 2015 and matured in an oloroso sherry butt sourced from Miguel Martin in Spain by the late Dr Jim Swan. Bottled at a robust 60.4% ABV, it's brimming with sweet peat and burnt citrus notes.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Rich notes of damp charcoal, leathery oak and pipe tobacco are joined by sweet stewed orchard fruits, fiery spice, and flamed citrus.
Palate
A balance of peat smoke and tobacco with toffee apples and burnt orange, backed by vanilla fudge and poached pear.
Finish
Sweet fruits and rich smoke linger, with creamy notes of burnt custard in tow.
