Single cask, single malt Indian whisky from Amrut, matured in a cask which previously held Pedro Ximénez Sherry. It was distilled using un-peated Indian barley in June 2009 and matured in cask #2697 for 4 years, until September 2013, when it was bottled with an outturn of 348 bottles, presented at 56.5% ABV.
Strong spicy scent. First hits the back of the throat. Rich and dark and spicy. Subtlety develops over time. I like it. Heavy, winter whiskey with good warming quality. A lovers whiskey.
