Orkney 16 Year Old 2003 (cask A521 #9) - Infrequent Flyers (Alistair Walker)

A single malt Scotch whisky from an undisclosed distillery on Orkey (you can probably work out who), independently bottled by Alistair Walker for the Infrequent Flyer series. This one was distilled back in 2003 and left to age for 16 years in a single hogshead cask, and was then bottled at 54.9% ABV with an outturn of 337 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Toasted barley, sea salt, slightly tart mango and vanilla.

Palate

A creamy dram, rich with red apples, nutmeg, salted peanuts and a whiff of smoke.

Finish

Floral, perfumed and malty.
