A mysterious single malt from Alistair Walker, hailing from one of the nine distilleries on Islay! It was distilled in July 2006, and spent its 14 years of ageing in a single hogshead. It was released for the Infrequent Flyers series with an outturn of 257 bottles at 57.7% ABV, with some creamy sweetness among the smoky notes.
Nose: Earthy peat, with bonfire smoke, medicinal touches and grassy sweetness.
Palate: Sweet and smoky, with barbecued banana and burnt brown sugar leading into vanilla buttercream and salted caramel.
Finish: Maple syrup and smoky bacon linger.
