From Japan's White Oak distillery comes this 6 year old Akashi single malt. The whisky was initially aged for 5 years in Cognac casks, before being transferred to a first-fill red wine barrel for a final ten months. A fabulous after dinner whisky, which really shines alongside a square or two of dark chocolate.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Well rounded woody aromas and oodles of red fruits.

Palate Structured and intense notes of dried red fruits, with citrus, tropical coconut and pineapple. A kick of ginger, pepper and cinnamon alongside pine, oak and tannins.

Finish Balanced, fading fruity notes with lingering pepper and cedar wood.
