Swedish single malt whisky here from the Agitator Distillery, an energy-efficient producer that uses innovative techniques to reduce power consumption and waste. The brand practices vacuum distillation and wet milling, and utilises a high-gravity wash. It's this kind of approach that brought it to the attention of Berry Bros. & Rudd, who bottled spirit from forward-thinking brands for its range Collective #1: The Pioneers. The vintage 2018 whisky selected was produced with 40ppm barley and fermented with a Saison yeast before it was aged in a single first-fill sherry hogshead cask and then bottled at 57.7% ABV, without chill-filtration or colouring.
