A Blended Scotch Whisky from Adelphi, perhaps better known as an independent bottler. However, this blend of grain and malt whisky is from its private stock which is kept in a solera system. Though exactly where the whisky hails from is kept rather hush-hush, we suspect it contains spirit from all over the shop, from Islay, Speyside, and Campbeltown.
The aroma is a pleasing fusion of salty peat and estery fruitiness. If you like your big fruits Speysiders and your peaty Islays this could be just your thing!
The palate takes on a coastal quality with an all-round nuttiness and a medium-body.
The finish is long with beach bonfire notes and some pear-drop flavours.
This blend takes the best of Scotland and fuses it into something new. A truly excellent blend.

Can't say much more than YUM! One of those whiskies that hits the spot and you just keep poring it,. Forget about all the subjective, if it tastes good, then it is good.
Being new to whisky, I thought I only liked single malt and out of the few I tried, Arran Barrel Reserve was my go to. My sister in law brought out a bottle of Adelphi thinking she bought it on impulse and it might not be very good. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. This is a beautiful blended whisky and three of us easily polished off the bottle. I've just received one as a gift for Christmas and I'm delighted - I think this will be my new go to whisky.
Originally picked this up at Ardnamurchan Distillery as was recommended by one of the stillmen. A really delightful blend from Adelphi, in my opinion often better than some low price single malts. This is now my stock Whisky
The rating reflects this against other blends at a similar price. It’s a classic blended scotch profile. Toffee and caramel, a bit of raisins and a good barley palate. Makes a good highball but perfect as a chaser with a good bitter.
Bought as a cheap blend to do some highballs but actually very pleasant on it's own. Toffee and honey sweetness on the nose with some maltiness. Peaty alcohol burn joins the party in the mouth with a tight finish. Most agreeable; slightly concerned it's palatableness will lead me to look like the chap on the label though!
