An intriguing blended malt here from A.D. Rattray's Cask Collection, aged for 25 years and drawn from a sherry butt - and you can certainly taste the sherry cask influence quite clearly indeed. Only 330 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sherried peels, caramelised nuts and a hint of summer berry tart.
Palate
More orange zestiness, balanced by malty vanilla and cinnamon gum.
Finish
Slightly earthy, but with more than enough dried fruit to keep it sweet.
