“First whisky review I've ever done but this was surprisingly lovely. The flavours are as described in tasting notes. All there; but extremely easy drinking and mellow. You can see how the Scots and Irish whisky comes together and leads to this. A real session whisky. ”

Tácnbora is the flagship blended whisky from The Ad Gefrin distillery in Northumberland. With a nod to the complex history of the area, this English whisky company blends Scottish and Irish whiskies that were aged in a combination of bourbon, fresh American oak, and oloroso sherry casks before bottling them up at 42.7% ABV.

Nose

Toffee apples, black pepper, creamy malt, marmalade, and ginger.

Palate

Caramel Digestives, cinnamon, vanilla pods, and hazelnuts.

Finish

Oak char and sherried spice.
