It's Aberlour's ever-popular A'Bunadh single malt Scotch whisky! Each batch of this single malt is matured entirely in Spanish oloroso sherry butts, bestowing huge helpings of dried fruit and festive spice notes to the whisky, after which it's bottled up at full-on cask strength with no chill-filtration.
Zesty notes of chocolate-coated orange wheels join sticky ginger loaf and sherried fruits.
Plump sultanas, prunes, cakey spice, and marmalade, with biscuity malt and toffee apple in tow.
Sweet spices and rich oak linger.

A real sherry and oak beast. Bursting with flavour. Sadly will not repurchase due to it being over priced in most places. Glenfarclas 105 is half the price and similar quality. Still cannot deny the quality, one for the experienced drinker to explore, as it takes a while to get to grips with. I also found it a lot more easy to find my palates sweet spot with water once it had been opened for a couple of months. Very strong and spicy when first opened.
I am American and I love to drink. I am new to the game but have been drinking whiskey for three decades. My favorite whiskies so far are The Glenlivet 21, The Glenlivet 18, Wild Turkey Rare Breed, The Balvenie 17, The Glenlivet 15, Aberlour A'BUNADH Batch 61, The Glenlivet Nadurra Olorso, The Balvenie 12, Jim Beam and Crown Royal. I am not filthy rich. I will not apologise for my choices as we all enjoy different things.
Here in the states, I've been able to find the 62 for $75 and that's including tax. Also, that is for 750 ml. The Batch 63 has just shown up and I snagged a bottle at the same price.
This has been on my "to buy" list for years but I never managed to get around to it... now, thanks to the price hike I guess I never will! I'll be priced out of the hobby altogether if this trend holds up!
This is an absolutely superb whisky, I buy one every Christmas to enjoy with family and friends... but not now. What have you done, Aberlour owners?!?! PLEASE give us our favourite Christmas whisky back at it's proper price. Sort it out! Or you will lose a load of loyal Aberlour customers, and rightly so.
