    Product details

    Aberlour A'Bunadh

It's Aberlour's ever-popular A'Bunadh single malt Scotch whisky! Each batch of this single malt is matured entirely in Spanish oloroso sherry butts, bestowing huge helpings of dried fruit and festive spice notes to the whisky, after which it's bottled up at full-on cask strength with no chill-filtration.

    Reviews for Aberlour A'Bunadh

    What a delightfully sweet dram

Appearance: The bottle has a dark red amber hue, while a single serving is more of a ruddy golden brown. Water: I added no water. I found that the smallest amount water changed the balance of this whiskyand actually made the alcohol more noticeable, and turned it completely dry. Nose: Because of the alcohol it takes a while to open up and calm down but if you are patient and hold back it will come to you. I first got hit with a big rose blackberry sherry perfume. Then it had this wonderfully complex amalgamation of flavors: candied orange peel, with dried cranberries, raspberries, a little apricot, all melded together with a sweet honey note. Wonderfully crafted and complex. Spiked Fruitcake. Had touches of cinnamon, cocoa powder, and a smidgeon of oak pepper. Taste: The arrival was a sweet sherry that is married well with the creamy buttery honeyd malt. The development is where all the fruity flavors above mentioned manifested itself, then it finishes with a sublime malty finish, slightly phenolic and a glancing peck of cinnamon, and rose. Mouthfeel: oily rich and dense Overeview: wonderfully complex and supremely well balanced my favorite right next to ardbeg corryvreckan.

Incredible. Best £40 you will ever spend.

Amazing! Very rich, syrupy, fruity, spicy. Roll it around your mouth and enjoy the warmth. Drink neat for the full hit or add a drop of water to make a more tame, I prefer it neat and enjoy the experience. Every single whisky drinker I have introduced this to has loved it and can't believe it can be so drinkable at 60% and only £40. If you're already a fan, try Glenfarclas 105, a similar cask brute. If anybody can find a better whisky for £40 or even £80, please let us all know!

    Ahhhh Bunadh!

Wow! This is not like any other single malt I've tasted. Big, warm, expansive and radiant in the mouth. Sweet, soft and delicious! Try it first without adding water, then add some clean distilled water to help it open up and not traumatized your tongue with its high alcohol content. Even if you are not a scotch lover, I suspect you will like the A'Bunadh.

    Sherrylicious

This has to be one of my all time favourites from speyside. From the first smell of those intense fruity, sherry notes. I can't say much more than what has already been said, a delicious! dram.

    Rich and distinctive

Caramel gold. Chocolate nose, and also something piercing, almost floral or resinous. Sweet taste followed by fire. A hint of cocoa.
