Vibrant young single malt from Aberlour Distillery in Speyside, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. The seventh Boutique-y batch of 9-year-old whisky was bottled at 49.6% ABV. Aberlour's Mash Tun hotel features on the label, with a particularly perturbed guest pictured. Why the long face? Mysterious stuff...
Batch 7 is a release of 3421 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Gristly malt, sharp citrus and dusty oak, with hints of drying baking spice and Mcvities Milk Chocolate Caramel Digestive Biscuits.
Palate
Apricot yoghurt, salted shortbread and honey are joined by delicate prickling cinnamon and gentle oak.
Finish
Salted caramel and dried grass.
Overall
An excellent value dram - one to share!
