Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Caramel-forward, along with a touch of dark chocolate at its core. Ripe pear, redcurrant jam and blackberry leaf all play their part in the background.

Palate: Peanut brittle, apple and butter popcorn. Soon enough, there's big notes of hot cross bun with loads of sultanas thrown in the dough.

Finish: A long, buttery finish.

Aberlour 23 Year Old September 1992 - Single Cask (Master of Malt) Reviews

A fine bottling

Just finished our bottle last night. Gonna miss it.

I think that the tasting notes are spot on. We served this at a friends birthday party (in very small glasses :) ) with a German chocolate cake. A perfect match with the chocolate in the cake and the caramel and coconut frosting.
