Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Apple peel, pink peppercorn and cinnamon. This develops into freshly baked brioche and some dusty old oak furniture.

Palate: Very zesty with orange and grapefruit at first. Slowly develops chocolatey notes - spoonfuls of dark chocolate mousse on the mid-palate.

Finish: Digestive biscuit and a few scoops of apple crumble.

Aberlour 23 Year Old June 1992 - Single Cask (Master of Malt) Reviews

Excellent scotch hidden in a light color

Favorite from a tasting set we created. The light color fools you, as you tend to think of the darker color lending flavor. Coming back to get the full bottle!

Could have been great

This is not an easyacces whisky, spent the majority of the time nosing this whisky searching for some kind of substance. Really weak...
The palate is good, a lot of apple and citrus. Also a warm chocochino in the development and the finish is long oaky, and again lots of apples. Applepie, applejuice, applespongecake?!

Too bad about the nose
